Our Hakone Shop is a 15-minute walk from Hakone-Yumoto Station or a 10-minute walk from Iriuda Station. Both stations are served by the Hakone Tozan Line.
Can you pick me up from the Shinkansen at Odawara?
Yes. We offer a paid delivery option from Odawara Station - ideal if you are arriving by Shinkansen from Tokyo, Kyoto, or Osaka. Please request this option when booking.
What documents do I need to rent a car in Hakone?
You need a valid driver's license from your home country PLUS an International Driving Permit (IDP) based on the 1949 Geneva Convention. Residents of Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium, Monaco, and Taiwan need an official Japanese translation of their license instead.
Can I drop the car off in Kawaguchiko or another area?
Yes, one-way drop-off is available at our partner locations including Kawaguchiko, Yamanakako, and Fujiyoshida. An additional one-way fee applies. Simply select your drop-off location during booking.
Is insurance included in the rental price?
Yes. Comprehensive basic insurance is included in every rental. For total peace of mind, you can add our optional ZLC (Damage & NOC Zero) package, which reduces your self-liability to JPY 0 in the event of an accident.
